  1. Chembra Peak

    Located 8km south of Kalpetta it is the highest peak of Wayanad Hill Range which is situated at an altitude of 2000 meters above the sea level. The highest peak in Wayanad, Chembra offers trekkers a thrilling ascent through lush greenery. At the summit, you’ll find the heart-shaped Chembra Lake, a tranquil spot with panoramic views of the entire Wayanad district, a large part of Kozhikode, Malappuram and Nilgiri districts.

  1. Banasura Sagar Dam

    Banasura Dam is the largest earthen dam of India and is the second largest in Asia. This impressive earthen dam is built across the Kabini River. It not only serves as vital water source but also offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy boating on its vast reservoir, surrounded by the mesmerising Banasura Hills. You may also enjoy ziplining and row boat here. It is open from 8 AM till 5 PM.

  1. Edakkal Caves

    Edakkal caves are two pre-historical caves located in Wayanad district and situated 1200 meters above the sea level. The caves are 96 feet long and 22 feet wide. The Edakkal caves have immense historical and archaeological significance as its date back to the late Stone Age. The stonework in the interior of the cave is likely to be as old as 500 BC to 1000 BC. However, the location of these caves is situated at a remote location and you have to trek around one and half hours to reach the caves.  Closed on all The Mondays and national holidays. Timings is 8 AM till 4 PM, however entry for caves will be closed after 1920 visitors each day. Best time to visit is September to March, during morning hours.

  1. Soochipara Falls

    Also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, this three-tiered wonder is a sight to behold. A short trek through the dense forest leads you to a natural pool where you can take a refreshing dip. September to March is the vest time to visit Soochipara falls. During August- September the flow in the falls is in full swing. Towards January the flow retards, during monsoon the trekking down needs to be very careful. 
  1. Pookode Lake

    This picturesque freshwater lake, ensconced within a thick forest, is perfect for a leisurely boat ride or a tranquil walk along its shores. Its also an excellent spot for birdwatching. Pookode lake premises also has a freshwater aquarium. The aquarium showcases a small yet diverse collection of freshwater fish species. Entry fee for adults is Rs.20 and children Rs.10. still camera Rs.30. Apart from the entry fee the boating charges will be applicable.  
  1. 900 Kandi Eco Park

    Located on the hills of 900 Kandi, this park is famous for the Glass Bridge, which overlooks the Chembra Peak. It is South India’s first glass bridge. To reach the glass bridge you have to rent a 4*4 jeep from the main road which costs Rs. 300 per person. The bridge is about 100 meters long and is suspended at a height of 30 meters above the ground. The bridge is surrounded by lush green forest and the walk on the Glass Bridge will provide you a unique experience. The entry fee for the park is Rs. 200 for adults and Rs. 100 for children. Apart from the glass bridge, you can also enjoy various activities like ziplining, rifle shooting, archery, giant swing and many more.

    Wayanad is renowned for its rich biodiversity. The Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary and the Muthanga Sanctuary are home to a variety of wildlife species, including elephants, tigers, leopards and numerous birds.

    A group of islands on the Kabini River, Kuruva Island is a natural paradise with lush forests and diverse flora and fauna.
